Introduction to Rosh Pina, Israel
Situated north of the Sea of Galilee, close to the Golan Heights, Rosh Pina is a growing hillside town with plenty to occupy visitors. The town makes a great retreat away from the hotter lowlands of Israel, not only due to its geography at 1,500 feet above sea level, but also because of its excellent spa, Mitzpe Hayamim. This world class establishment was built on a nearby hillside and features health and cosmetic treatments along with an art gallery and organic garden. Baron Rothschild Garden close by is another tranquil part of the town, with its tree and plants imported from France, including bougainvillea. With its attractive, hilly landscape and good views, Rosh Pina makes an ideal base for walking in the surrounding area or accessing nearby Safed, which is the highest city in the country at just under 3,000 feet. Rosh Pina hotels are few in number and mainly located in the centre of town or close to Route 90.
