Located close to the Mediterranean coastline of Israel in the northwest of the country, Binyamina is a small but rapidly growing transportation hub with fast links to Haifa in the north and other major destinations. The town is now officially joined to sister city Givat Ada following a merger in 2003 that doubled its size. One of the main draws for visitors to the town other than the bustling railway station is the fast-growing wine industry here which now produces more than one million bottles per year courtesy of the Tishbi Winery, which recently held its 25th birthday. Visitors are welcome to come to try and buy the local tipple, and there are plans for a full-scale wine park given the popularity of what is produced here. Binyamina hotels are starting up at a quickening pace given the town's rising importance as a rail and wine hub, with many accommodation options lying close to the station.
