Tehran is Iran’s capital, and is also the country’s largest city. The city is a sprawling metropolis, and is famous for its museums, galleries and palaces. The city has a good range of hotels, mostly offering mid-range rates. All accommodation is based around the city centre area, with two classier options on the outskirts. Most hotels in Tehran offer a fairly high standard of service, although sometimes interiors are in need of a new lick of life. Most Tehran hotels have good dining facilities on site, but an array of options is available nearby if visitors are disappointed by their hotel’s restaurant. Management and staff in Tehran hotels can usually speak a good level of English, and are very welcoming. Public transport is within walking distance of many hotels, and some of the central options offer easy access to tourist attractions. Apartment hotels in Tehran are also growing in popularity, and offer more spacious accommodation.
