Introduction to Tehran - Amir Abad
With a wonderful mixture of ancient and modern architecture, fantastic cuisine and a wonderful transportation system, the large city of Tehran is a great place to enjoy an exotic Middle Eastern holiday. Situated at the foot of the Alborz mountain range, this vibrant capital city is filled with some stunning ancient sites, such as the Golestan Palace. Kargar Avenue is the longest street in all of Tehran and is where a great selection of Amir Abad hotels can be found. Here, visitors will also find the lovely Laleh Park, which is surrounded by some great coffee shops, cafes and boutiques. Adjacent to the park is the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Rugh Gallery and the fantastic Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. Close to Amir Abad and just off of the metro line is where the Treasury of National Jewels can be seen.
