Activities in Lombok
Senggigi Beach: is the most developed area on Lombok where an array of restaurants, bars, clubs and souvenir shops can be found. There are many accommodations to suit every traveller’s budget and the cafes on the main street are very inviting. If travel around Senggigi, you will find spectacular sceneries of the coast and lush-green hills.
Water sports: the Gili Islands, located in the north west of Lombok boast three small charming islands: Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. Known for the crystal clear water, beautiful coral reefs and a variety of colourful fish, Gili Islands welcome visitors to soak up in the sun, kayak, fish, dive and snorkel. This area is particularly peaceful as there are not many cars, motorcycles or hawkers to invade your tranquillity.
Trekking: if you enjoy trekking, you have to head out to Tete Batu, which north of Loyok. Tete Batu is situated on Mount Rinjani and gives magnificent views of the mountain. You can have a refreshing dip in a cool natural pond nearby but be prepared because the water can be very cold.
Otak Kokok Gading and Jeruk Manis Waterfall: located in east Lombok, this waterfall can be found amid beautiful natural forest. Locals come here for recreational reasons and also for the falls’ healing powers.
