By air: the only airport is Hussein Sastranegara, a small airport located 4kms from the city centre, receiving flights from other cities in Java. It can be quite challenging for the pilots to land the plane because of its geographical location. The airport only allows medium-size airplanes to land here. From the airport, you can take a taxi to your hotel but most hotels provide free airport transfer services.
By car: if you arrive from Jakarta, driving is a good option. It takes about two hours to get to Bandung on the new Cipularang toll road. Using this road will get you to Bandung quicker than by train or bus. Alternatively, you can also use another route from Jakarta via Puncak and Cinajur. It might take a bit longer but the trip is incredibly scenic.
By train: if you prefer to travel by train, you will get the chance to see stunning landscapes between Jakarta and Bandung. The train passes many beautiful mountains and beautiful Indonesian countryside.
