Amusement parks: Waterboom Park, located in Kuta, offers thrilling water slide rides and other water based activities. The park maintains strict safety standards and is set in a tropical garden. There is a cafe, a food court, snack carts and a sunken swim up bar.
Bird watching: there are several tours that take visitors on a bird watching walk around the Ubud area. Several species of birds including the kingfisher, bar winger prinia, black winged starling, Java sparrow, scarlet headed flowerpecker and many others can be sighted.
Water sports: a wide array of water sports are available on Bali including water skiing, jet skiing, surfing, motorised paragliding, sailing, banana boats, snorkelling and scuba diving. The best beaches to enjoy water sports include the beaches at Kuta, Sanur and Nusa Dua. A thrilling white water rafting experience down the fast flowing Ayung River is available at Ubud.
Walking and cycling tours: there are a number of scenic walking areas and mountain bike paths in Bali that lead to some very interesting places including the volcanoes of Gunung Batur and the Mother Temple at Gunung Agung, as well as the botanical gardens at Bedugul and the Bali Barat National Park.
Horse riding: riding a horse on a secluded beach and passing through small coastal villages is a great way of catching a glimpse of daily life for the locals. The trail leads the rider through the sea-salt harvesting huts, a waterfall and a holy temple.
