Introduction to Kumai, Indonesia
The Indonesian port of Kumai is considered a smaller district, or kecamatan, of the regency of West Kotawaringin in the Borneo province of Central Kalimantan. Kumai hotels are very quiet places to stay because there is no alcohol or nightlife in this predominantly Muslim city. However, this does not mean there are not plenty of things to do here, including frequent traditional dancing and musical performances at several cultural venues. The biggest attraction here, however, is the nearby Tanjung Puting National Park, Southeast Asia's most sizable protected swamp forest area. The park is also famous for its sizable orangutan population, especially the Camp Leakey area where wild adult orangutans are rehabilitated. Tanjung Harapan ecotourism area and Pantai Sungai Cabang beach area also belong to Tanjung Puting National Park. Green turtles are conserved at Sungai Cabang beach, while another renowned beach near Kumai is Sungai Rengas. Many visitors also enjoy fishing, scuba diving, and even surfing near the breathtaking Patih Mambang Waterfall.other spellings: kumai otel, komai hotell, kumi hote, kumia hotels, kumai hotle, kuima hotes
