Bali has numerous museums and art galleries scattered all around the island. Many of the museums explain the history and culture of the island. Art is considered to be a part of life and there is a saying here that translates to ‘peasant by day, artist by night’ meaning that almost everyone is an artist so it is not surprising that there are more art galleries here than in many major cities in Indonesia.
