Introduction to Bali - Tuban Beach
Tuban is the location of Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport, the main entry point to the island. As such, it sees thousands of passengers passing through each week, with most heading for the nearby resort of Kuta, less than three kilometres to the north. Tuban hotels are mostly used as convenient overnight stops for visitors with early or late flights, with many options near the airport. The village is an ideal base for visiting the attractions of southern Bali, including its capital, Denpasar, 13kms away. Within a short drive are draws such as Benoa village, golf courses, the resort of Jimbaran and dozens of Indian Ocean beaches. With dining options limited in Tuban, most visitors basing themselves here head for the likes of nearby Jimbaran, where there are several upscale seafood restaurants lining the shore, when it comes to eating out.
