Introduction to Bali - Banyuning Beach
Few people can remain unaware of the heady attractions of the exotic island destination of Bali in Indonesia, with its world-class beaches, rich tapestry of local culture and excellent tourism support. The typical destinations at Tuban, Denpasar and Kuta can get far too busy for real paradise, however. Anybody keen to enjoy some of the best attractions of Bali without the hordes of package-holiday families and backpacking drunks, might well consider a stay at the hotels in Banyuning Beach. Located in Ameda, a strip of fishing villages along the coast of East Bali, this area offers incredible scenery and plenty of things to do, including the chance to dive to a number of shipwrecks, including the USS Liberty, which is at Tulamben. The pace of life here is a world away from the gaudy consumption around Kuta, as tourism has only really been around for a few years. Most beaches enjoy great views of the distant Mount Agung. They vary from the coarse, dark volcanic sand at Amed beach to softer, lighter sand as you move to more distant beaches. The Jemeluk and Lipah bays are two highlights along what is a beautiful coastline. Trekking inland is also a popular activity.Visit our Bali Travel Guide
