Juhu: is one of the largest and most popular beaches in India. Eighteen kilometres north of the city centre, it is located on the shores of Arabian Sea. Regarded as a favourite haunt of Mumbai’s movers and shakers, many luxury hotels can be found on the beach’s southern end. At weekends, horse and donkey rides are available, while dancing monkeys, acrobats and cricket matches can be seen.
Boat Tours: are available from the Gateway of India. The harbour cruise on the vessel Apollo Bunder sails around the outer reaches of the harbour, gliding by the naval fort.
Crawford Market: is largely a Muslim area containing lots of streets full of bazaars and very interesting shops. The market building houses lively food and vegetable stalls.
Esselworld: was Mumbai’s first amusement park that became really popular. Located in Gorai village, across the creek from Borivili or Malad, it is just beyond the city limits. The Water Kingdom is said to be the largest of its kind in Asia.
