Spas and massage: are scattered all over Goa, especially near the beaches. Calangute has several spas, catering to a range of budgets. Many of the spas across Goa have been internationally recognised and are a must if you want to indulge in some beauty and relaxation therapy.
Courses: there are a number of centres all across Goa that offer short and long courses in meditation, yoga, reiki, art, craft and painting. Visitors can opt from courses that last half a day to one year or more.
Benaulim beach is also very popular and dolphin cruises leave from here. Other beaches around Goa include Baga Beach, Bogmalo Beach, Calangute Beach, Candolim Beach and Palolem Beach, which is said to be Goa’s most beautiful beach.
Eating out: there are restaurants, quaint cafes and bars all across Goa catering to everyone’s taste and budget. The food is delicious and the entertainment even better.
Gambling: there are excellent casinos that offer popular games such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat and craps. A unique experience would be to try your hand at Casino Caravela, a floating luxury casino.
Cycling: several outlets rent bikes that are in excellent condition. Cycling around the area is a great way of discovering the charms of Goa.
Waterfalls: there are several waterfalls to enjoy including the Arvalem Waterfall that cascades down from a height of 50 meters. Nearby, there is a Buddhist cave and a few temples. Dudhsagar Waterfalls are the most notable waterfalls in Goa as they cascade down an almost vertical cliff.
Springs, Lakes and Rivers: are plentiful in Goa and a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. Kesarval Spring is reported to have medicinal properties as well as being stunningly beautiful. Mayem Lake is a man made lake that is surrounded by green hills. It is a great spot for picnics and bird watching. A ride up the rivers is a great way to witness villagers going about their daily routines.
