Day Trips and Excursions in Delhi
Dhauj: is a village situated between two hilly ranges. It is an excellent site for rock climbing and bird watching.
Surajkund: is an interesting place to visit as it the site of a very old water tank that was named after the sun god Suraj. The tank has a huge ramp in one corner that was used for elephants. A man made lake in the area provides hours of boating fun and is a pleasant spot for a picnic. A traditional arts fair is held here in February each year.
Agra: almost all visitors to Delhi make a trip to Agra to visit the magnificent monument and symbol of love, the Taj Mahal.
