Ancient Heritage of Hauz Khas: is an interesting historical site to visit. It was once known as the Royal Tank and was excavated in 1300 AD for the sole purpose of providing water to Sultan Alauddin Khaiji’s new capital Siri. The ruins of a madarsa remain here today and the tomb of Feroz Shah Tughlag is nearby.

Akshardham Temple: is stunning with over 20,000 statues, floral motifs, arches and carved pillars. Many hundreds of artisans took thousands of hours to create this incredibly beautiful temple. Within its compounds are exhibition halls, a musical fountain and an IMAX theatre. The temple grounds are also home to a restaurant that was built to imitate the beauty of the Ajanta-Ellora caves and an Ayurvedic Bazaar.
Amar Jawan Jyoti: is another war memorial that is dedicated to soldiers who were killed in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The memorial has a flame that burns constantly under the arch to remind the people of the sacrifice of the Indian soldiers.
Jama Masjid: is located opposite the Red Fort. It is one of the most beautiful and the largest mosques in India. The treasure room in the mosque is a big tourist attraction and among its items on display are a hair from the beard of Hazrat Muhammed, his used slipper, the canopy of his tombstone, a chapter of Koran taken from its original holy book and the footprint of Muhammed on the stone.
