Spas and massage: there are several spa and massage centres scattered around Delhi. The hotels have spas that are very luxurious but also have prices to match. In the city, you will find excellent establishment that provide Ayuverdic treatments including massages, head massages and wraps. Many spas also offer manicures, pedicures and facials.
Gardens: the Muhal Garden is located in the Presidential Estate and is open to the public in February and March. Nehru Park is a wonderful place to visit even in winter as its landscaped gardens are still crowded with flowers. Lodi Garden is a beautiful landscaped garden that surrounds the 15th century tombs of the Lodi kings. Other parks worth visiting include the Kamala Nehru Park and the Dhaula Kuan complex with its artificial lake.
The Central Cottage Industries Emporium at Janpath in the STC Building Complex is the best place to purchase handicrafts. Other up-market shopping areas include South Extension, Sarojini Nagar, INA Market, Vasant Vihar and Sunder Nagar Market in.
The markets, inside the walled city are a cheaper alternative, but prepared to bargain. There are many items to choose from here including silver jewellery, readymade suits, sarees and books. Chandni Chow is one of the more popular markets to visit, but there are several other markets around the city.
