By air: Chennai International Airport serves both international and domestic destinations. International flights operate between Chennai and other major cities in South Asia, South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
By train: you can also travel to Chennai by train with frequent trains connecting to major cities in India. The main station in the city is Chennai Central Station, although Chennai Egmore Station provides services to Tamil Nadu.
By car: if you want to drive to Chennai, you will find that the city is very well-connected to other parts of India. There are five national highways leading to Calcutta, Bangalore, Trichy, Tiruvallur, and Pondicherry. However, driving in India is quite dangerous as locals do not respect the rules.
