Introduction to Wayanad, India
The district of Wayanad is in the southwest of India, slightly inland from the Arabian Sea. Wayanad is a verdant forested area spread over the Western Ghats Mountains and boasts tall crests that drop down into deep gorges. There are lots of activities and cultural venues for visitors booking themselves into hotels in Wayanad. Among the ancient temples in Wayanad are Thirunelli, Valliyoorkav, Ananthanatha Swami and Varambatta. Pre historic carvings and wall paintings can be seen in the Edakkal Caves.
