Introduction to Tirupati, India
Tirupati is one of the world’s busiest pilgrimage destinations. The Hindu temple of Venkateswara Swamy is 10kms from town in an elevated position in the Tirumala Hills. Staying at any one of the numerous Tirupati hotels offers a comfortable base for travelling to this holy shrine. Tirupati is on the principal rail route from Chennai, 150kms away.
