Hotel Description
Ayurveda has always been the trademark of Somatheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort Trivandrum, which is situated on Chowara Beach. It was the first Ayurveda resort in the world and was established in 1985. The resort has won a number of awards, like the Century International Quality Era Award. There are many ayurvedic treatments offered in the resort, and yoga and meditation can be practised. The resort also arranges elephant rides and weekly Mehndi (henna painting) designing sessions. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are prepared in the resort and there are cooking demonstrations so that guests can see exactly how a particular dish is prepared.
