Introduction to Solan, India
The small northern city of Solan is known as India's mushroom city because of its many mushroom farms, but this city just 50kms south of Shimla also attracts visitors because of its scenic parks, caves, and surrounding mountains. One of the most famous Solan hotels is part of the hilltop Nalagarh Palace, while another accommodation option is at Darlaghat Sanctuary, which cares for wild animals. Another wildlife sanctuary called Manjathal contains jungle houses where visitors may stay. The city's largest temples are Jatoli Shiv and Shoolini Mata, both of which are situated near the Tibetan Yungdung Monastery. Each year, Shoolini Mata Temple hosts the festive Shoolini fair during the final week of June. Freshwater springs flow inside the impressive Kuthar Fort, which is estimated to be up to 800 years old. The Solan Brewery, one of the first in India, was first opened during the late 1980s and is now a distillery.other spellings: solanhotels, soaln hotell, soolan otel, solann hote, sollan hotles
