The Laxmi Niwas Palace Hotel, Bikaner, is a stunning, intricately carved piece of architecture. The building was originally meant for the Maharaja, his family and important guests. Most rooms have been lavishly decorated with gold paintings and ornately carved ceilings. The Northwest Frontier restaurant is situated in what was once the Maharaja’s own dining room, and a coffee shop now occupies what was his private study. The building also has an opulent lobby, and is set in acres of landscaped gardens dotted with fountains and ponds. Other amenities include a spa, health club, a swimming pool and conference rooms. The railway station is 3kms from this extraordinary estate.

The palace offers both a 24-hour coffee shop, located in the former study of the palace, along with a speciality Northwest Frontier restaurant. This restaurant is located in the former dining hall of the Maharaja and is decorated with pure gold wall paintings and a gilded carved wood ceiling.
