Introduction to Kollam, India
Kollam is a coastal town in southwestern India that faces out to the Laccadive Sea. The town is part of Kerala State, which rests just above the nation’s southern tip. On the north side of Kollam are the shores of Ashtamudi Lake. There is a good choice of hotels in Kollam that provide service to the many visitors that travel to this attractive town every year. Many Kollam hotels are located in the precinct of the town between the railway station and the lake’s shore. An additional smaller choice of accommodation establishments is situated at the back of Kollam Beach.
