Introduction to Goa - Betalbatim
Goa is renowned for its beaches, and none offer more of a relaxing holiday than the beach at Betalbatim. This small town, part of the western Indian state of Goa, is situated about halfway along the state's coastline. Just over 10kms to the north of the town is Dabolim Airport, which is the main air hub serving the coastal region of central Goa. Several Betalbatim hotels are located along the beachfront, alluring both domestic and international tourists. Betalbatim Beach is a spectacular place to spend a day or two by those tourists seeking seclusion. Dolphins can be spotted swimming here and bird watching is a popular activity. The city of Fatorda and the town of Margaon are some five kilometres to the east of Betalbatim, so tourists can also explore these settlements for an afternoon.
