Introduction to Dharamshala, India
Dharamshala hotels can be found either in the historic town centre or on the outskirts close to the countryside. Primarily known as a hill station, the town has become famous for a large and diverse Tibetan community that lives came to live here after fleeing China with the Dalai Lama. Although there isn’t much for tourists to do here, that factor alone means that the area does have a large amount of foreign visitors that come to the town and spend time exploring the area and staying in Dharamshala hotels. As opposed to other destinations in India that cater for tourists, the area has no set high or low season meaning that the hotels in Dharamshala are of a fixed rate most of the year round.
