Reykjavik Travel Guide

Getting There

Getting to Reykjavik
By sea: arriving by sea is certainly an option and some people chose to visit Iceland as part of a mini cruise in the region. There is also a passenger ferry service, as well as a car ferry that runs between Norway, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Shetland Islands and Iceland’s east coast (Seydisfjordur).
Services are operated by Smyril Line with schedules varying according to the time of year. During the peak summer months, some of the big luxury cruise liners port in Reykjavik’s harbour.
Iceland’s major domestic carrier, Air Iceland, has connections with the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Kulusuk and Narsarsuag.
