Introduction to Reykjavik - Kopavogur
Kopavogur, Iceland may belong to the greater Reykjavik area, but it is also an independent municipality in its own right. This is the second-most populated city in Iceland after Reykjavik, which lies immediately north, so many people who visit Reykjavik spend their nights in Kopavogur hotels. Most of Kopavogur's attractions reveal the more modern side of Iceland, including the nation's biggest shopping centre, called Smaralind, and Iceland's highest building, the Smaratorg tower.
