Introduction to Keflavik - Airport
Iceland's Keflavik Airport is an international facility serving the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik. The country's largest airport sits close to Keflavik, after which it takes its name, and roughly 30 miles from the capital. It is the primary international gateway for visitors to Iceland. The airport is connected with the capital to the southwest by road, with buses from the facility to Reykjavik's main terminal taking around 45 minutes. Passengers arriving late at night often choose to check-in to Keflavik Airport hotels. National carriers Iceland Express and Icelandair are the main providers at the airport, with a handful of international airlines including Air Berlin and Austrian Airlines also serving the facility. Destinations covered by these airlines include Vienna, Munich, Newark, London, Amsterdam and Paris. Duty-free stores are on hand in both the arrival and departure lounges as well as gift shops. The country's domestic airport, 30 miles away, is connected to Keflavik Airport by bus. other spellings: keflavikhotels aeport, kefavik hotellairport, keflawik aipot otel, kaflavik hote aiprt
