The scenic Fosshotel Sudurgata Reykjavik is a student dormitory that is converted during the summer months into a budget hotel. It is a few minutes stroll from a bus stop and around a 15 -25 minute walk from the city centre. This hotel comprises of good size, functional furnished guest rooms that have a private balcony and a small kitchenette fitted with a fridge and a microwave. Some ground floor rooms are family rooms that have access to a kid friendly terrace. This all non smoking hotel has lift access, a dining hall that serves breakfast and free parking.

The rooms are all very large and in good condition. They all have huge windows so are light and airy. the furniture is simple and functional.

The hotel does not have a restaurant. Breakfast is served in a simple dingin hall.

The lobby is small and makeshift.

The building is an appartment block and serves as student accomodation all year except during the summer when it opens as a hotel.
