Hungary Travel Guide - Visa

Citizens of the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand enjoy similar privileges, meaning a visa is no longer required with each stay limited to 90 days. Nationals of other Eastern European countries like Serbia, Montenegro and the Ukraine also do not require a visa to enter Hungary although they can expect to receive a more vigorous inspection at the awaiting border upon entry.

Citizens of Asian, African and South American countries should consult their nearest Hungarian embassy for rules regarding visa and entry to Hungary as the requirements can vary considerably. A visa is almost always required in such cases.
