By March and April, temperatures rise but snow sometimes appears as late as Easter. May usually guarantees pleasantly warm temperatures around 15 to 25°C but is also the month that sees the heaviest rainfall of the year. June, July and August sees Budapest starting to get hot and sometimes humid too with temperatures that tend to soar above 30°C on a regular basis while the chance of rain still remains high.
Travellers looking for a month of good weather should aim to get here at the beginning of September when the threat of rain is the lowest of the whole year and temperatures still remain warm but not too humid. Highs at this time tend to be up to 30°C some years although the average is more like 20°C.
