Introduction to Pecs, Hungary
The popular Hungarian town of Pecs is located at the foot of the Meczek Hills in southern Transdanubia. For those wishing to stay in this lovely region, there are many hotels in Pecs to choose from. The town has a long history going back more than 2000 years and it was once an important town in early Christian times. The Early Christian Cemetery, the Tomb Chamber and the Ancient Christian Mausoleum are now recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
