Introduction to Budapest - Erzsebetvaros
Budapest is a city of awe-striking architecture, top shopping areas and a rich culture which is the pride of Hungary. There are many districts making up the capital, including Pest’s Old Town and the pretty 7th district area of Erzsebetvaros, just to the east of the Old Town. Hotels in Budapest Erzsebetvaros are cheaper than those directly in the city centre but still tend to be in the mid to high range, and are close to such attractions as the impressive parliament building, Heroes’ Square and Vajdahunyad Castle. From here, all of the city sights can either be walked to or reached via public transport, which is fast and cheap. As well the historical sights and museums of both sides of the river, the city has a modern side, with popular shops filling contemporary shopping centres and streets, and some great restaurants and top bars.
