By air: the only airport on the island is Zakynthos International Airport, situated in the south end of the island near to the resort of Laganas and Kalamaki. Most of the international flights are chartered flights from a range of European cities. Olympic Airlines provides daily domestic flights to Athens throughout the year. There are also flights from Kefalonia on Mondays and Wednesdays.
By ferry: Zakynthos has ferry links to Kyllini on the Greek mainland from Zakynthos Town, with around seven ferries Monday to Saturday and three services on Sunday. The crossing takes about 90 minutes and there are connecting buses to Athens. A daily car ferry gœes from Agios Nikolaos on the Northeast tip of the island to Kefalonia in the summer season.
