There’s much to see on the island. Those with interest in history can find an array of beautiful historical sites in the Old Town and around the city while the New Town is extremely cosmopolitan with a very lively atmosphere. Boasting pleasant climate all year round and endless of picturesque sights to admire, Rhodes makes an ideal holiday destination for everyone in the family.
Rhodian Acropolis: only a few ruins from ancient Rhodes have been found and restored and this ancient Acropolis is one of them. Standing on the Monte Smith Hill, the acropolis boasts shady picnic areas, a restored stadium and a small theatre. The remains of the Temple of Pythian Apollo are also worth exploring.
The New Town: is where you will find the nightlife action. Expect to find a number of jet-setters spending their time here at one of many luxury resort hotels at the Rhodian Riviera. The northern tip is the city beach where the famous Mandraki Harbour is situated. The New Town is always full of life, with an array of trendy cafes and nightclubs.
Municipal Art Gallery of Rhodes: features impressive collections by many modern Greek artists. Those into art can take time looking at a variety of art pieces with contemporary concepts and themes.
Street of the Knights: is a 600 metre-long cobbled street leading from the Acropolis of Rhodes to the port. It’s one of the best-preserved medieval relics in the world.
