Mykonos Travel Guide - Getting There
By air: Mykonos international airport is located three miles southeast of Mykonos town and the transfer time is about 10 minutes. There is a public bus service operating regular services from the town to the airport and a taxi rank is situated in front of the terminal.
Several European countries now have charter flights to Mykonos Airport; otherwise it can be reached by flying via Athens. Olympic Airways provides 7 daily flights to Mykonos (10 daily flights are available during the peak tourist season). The summer flights between Heraklion (on Crete) and Mykonos and between Rhodes and Mykonos are also available.
The travelling time is around six hours and ferries stop at Andros or Tinos en route. From Rafina, Strintzis Lines has a daily service. The hydrofoil and catamarans are quicker but have high wind restrictions and the smaller ones tend to be very bumpy in rough seas. There are daily ferry connections between Mykonos and Syros, Andros, Paros, and Tinos. There is also a hydrofoil service from Crete, Ios, Paros and Santorini.
