Introduction to Sporades, Greece
The beautiful Sporades islands lie just off the east coast of mainland Greece. There are 11 Sporades but only four of the islands are inhabited. Theses are Alonnisos, Skiathos, Skyros and Skopelos. There are a wide choice of Sporades hotels to choose from and most of Sporades hotels are found close to the islands finest beaches. Alonnisos has some superb beaches and is a lovely laidback island. Skopelos is the largest of the Sporades islands and boasts pretty beaches and quaint mountain villages. Skiathos is the most touristy of all the Sporades islands and the majority of Sporades hotels are located on Skiathos. For visitors to the Sporades islands looking for a fun nightlife, Skiathos would be your best choice. Skyros is very quiet and a great place to visit for nature lovers.
