Introduction to Saronic Islands, Greece
The Greek Saronic Islands consist of seven islands which are: Aegina, Angistri, Hydra, Methana, Poros, Spetses and Salamina. They are located close to Athens and to the east of the Peloponesse. Many of the Saronic Islands hotels are located close to beautiful white sandy beaches. The island of Aegina is the closest to mainland Greece, just a one hour ferry ride. One of the most picturesque Saronic islands is Hydra and many of Saronic Islands hotels are located on this beautiful island close to the beaches or in pretty villages. Angistri is less touristy than many of its Greek neighbours and here you will find many secluded coves and beaches.
