Introduction to Poros, Greece
The lovely Greek island of Poros is popular with travellers and there are plenty of hotels in Poros to choose from. Many Poros hotels can be found along the beautiful white sandy beach of Askeli which is just a few kilometres north east of the port. Here you will find many bars and restaurants. Another great beach is at Kanali which has some amazing fish restaurants with great views of the sea. For somewhere a little more peaceful, the lovely Monastiri beach on Poros east coast is a great place to stay and many of Poros hotels can be found here. The beach is located next to a forest filled with pine trees and there is a pretty monastery up on the hill overlooking the beach. This is a good area for scuba diving.
