Introduction to Paros - Aliki Beach
Paros, an island in the Cyclades, is one of the most popular holiday destinations amongst tourists to the Greek islands. Hotels at Aliki Beach are ideal for family holidays. The beach is wide and sandy and the waters of the Aegean Sea are shallow and beautifully clear. A huge of variety of water sports can be enjoyed either here at Aliki Beach or by taking a short journey. The ferry crossing to the neighbouring island of Nisos Antiparos is easily done. A greater variety of ferries is available at Paros town, about 20 minutes away. The 4th century church of 100 doors can be found here, close to the harbour. The ancient, narrow streets of Paros town make for outstanding wandering tours. If the kids tire of the beach, the Aqua Blue Park at the southern end of Paros offers plenty of fun water rides. Dryos, about 15 minutes to the east, is the most popular spot for windsurfing and kite-surfing.
