Near the borer with Macedonia, in northern Greece, is the historic town of Naousa. Famous for its proximity to several excellent parks and ski resorts, this popular travel destination stays busy throughout much of the year. In the winter, Greeks flock to the slopes of Seli and 3-5 Pigadia, two small but useful ski resorts in the Vermion Mountains, just west of Naousa. The town has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with a lively river flowing through it and a number of shady parks, such as Saint Nicholas and Municipal parks. Due to its relation to the ski resorts and mountains nearby, the town offers plenty of hotels in Naousa catering to the tourism scene.
