Introduction to Kassandra - Hanioti
The picturesque village of Hanioti is less than an hour's drive from Greece's second most populated city, Thessaloniki, and just an hour and a half away from Thessaloniki Airport. Local legends state Hanioti received its name because its very first resident was a man from Crete, known as Hania in Greek. The main square and picturesque surrounding streets of this Halkidiki County village not only contain several restaurants, cafes and nightclubs which come alive after the sun sets, but many local street merchants selling their wares after dark.
