Introduction to Kalambaka, Greece
Kalambaka is a small town in Greece situated near the city of Meteora. The city is elevated at 207 metres and overlooks the Meteora rocks. There are a number of Kalambaka hotels for those visiting Meteora. The town’s Main Street is quite busy and a great spot to search for hotels in Kalambaka. Apart from hotels in Kalambaka, there are a number of cafs, shops, and other entertainment venues along the Main Street. Agia is the high rock in the city, and separates the rest of the town from the Kastraki. The Assumption of the Virgin church is the most popular landmark of Kalambaka and is visiting my thousands of tourists throughout the year. For those interested in travelling a bit outside of the city to surrounding area, take a trip out to the Sarakina Bridge, which is just south of the city. Pindos Mountain is a beautiful mountain drive just to the west of Kalambaka.
