Introduction to Delphi, Greece
Delphi doubles as a modern town and archaeological site located in the valley of Phocis in Greece and is known in history as being the worshipping place of Apollo. For those travelling to the city to explore the many mythological sites and findings there are a few Delphi hotels to accommodate the trip. The Temple of Apollo dates back to the 4th century BC and is still visible today. Along the journey through this ancient city is the Altar of Chians, which is just outside the Temple of Apollo.
