The Canaves Oia Hotel is a short walk from some small cliffside markets, shops and restaurants, while the centre of Oia Village and Ammouidi beach can be reached in around a 20 minute walk. The rooms are superbly appointed in the tradition blue, cream and white Cycladic colours. They are built in the traditional cave style with stone washed white walls and vaulted ceilings. The thick white walls keep the rooms fantastically cool in the summer heat. Each has a bedroom, living room, bathroom with a tub or a hydro-massage jet shower and a private verandah with magnificent views of the Caldera and Aegean sea. All suites are air-conditioned and are equipped with satellite TV, a mini bar, a fridge, a radio, a direct dial phone, a safe deposit box, a hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers and other comfort amenities.

The hotel complex is made up of this hotel and it's sister all suite hotel next door. Available to guests are a gourmet a' la carte restaurant (indoor & outdoor seating), a pool side restaurant, and 2 pool bars. All over look the sea. A selection of 3 breakfast types are offered: continental, American and healthy option. These are served individually direct to the guests room, enabling them to enjoy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea.

The medium sized lobby is decorated in the traditional style of the rest of the hotel.

The property is built in to the side of the cliff. It starts on the road level and spreads down the cliff side with a pool towards the bottom of the complex. The hotel also boasts the advantage of being the only property of it's type with a lift transporting you up and down the various levels of the complex.
