Introduction to Argolida, Greece
One of the most magical and picturesque regions of the Greek Peloponnese is Argolida, an area filled with important historic sites and beautiful holiday destinations. Its capital is Nafplion, a coastal town with quaint winding streets, several museums and the stunning Venetian fort of Palamidi that overlooks the town from its hilltop location. Other popular towns include Tolo, with its scenic bay, and Drepano, with its traditional taverns and local culture. Kandia and Kilada are also excellent destinations to experience traditional Peloponnese culture at its best. In all of these towns visitors will find a good selection of Argolida hotels as well as inviting restaurants, bars and little shops. The coast plays a powerful part in local life, and many visitors come specifically to stay at one of the scenic beaches. For ancient history, the 2,000-year-old town of Argos can't be beat. Mycenae and Epidaurus are also world-class ancient sites not to be missed. With its amazing blend of nature and ancient culture, Argolida is one region of Greek well worth a visit. other spellings: argolidahotels, argolda otel, argoleda hotell, argolida hote, agolida hotle, argolinda hotes
