Gibraltar City, on this 'island' of the same name - being an independent British Protectorate on the Southern Tip of Spain. It's is a bustling tourist destination with a number of attractions to keep visitors busy all year round. There are a number of hotels in Gibraltar City, covering all range of budgets and tastes. Within a short walk from a number of accommodations here, visitors will find an abundance of attractions including natural sights such as caves and rocks and manmade sights such as museums, bird sanctuaries and tunnels. The most obvious of these is the Rock of Gibraltar, an outcrop that is unique to the area and has long been considered the watchtower at the entrance to the Mediterranean.
