By air: Stuttgart International Airport provides a number of flights that connect the city to the rest of the world, with reliable and frequent services from both domestic and international airlines. Direct flights from other cities in Germany take less than two hours. The airport is modern and spacious with four terminals, located 13kms south of downtown Stuttgart.
Facilities at the airport include an array of shops, a supermarket, cafes, bars, restaurants, banks, bureaux de change, internet services, car repair services, duty-free outlets and conference rooms. Those requiring special assistance can find specially-designed lifts and ramps throughout the airport. You can take a taxi, use direct bus services or hire a car to get to the city centre, which is about 20 minutes away from the airport.
By bus: Deutschen Touring GmbH and Eurolines offer reliable services throughout Germany and many European cities including Paris, London, Amsterdam and Vienna. However, journeys can be long and arduous.
By car: Stuttgart, just like other German city, is well-connected to the rest of the country with autobahn networks. The A8 connects Stuttgart to the east and the west while the A81 runs from north to south.
