Munich Travel Guide
Theme Park: if you’re visiting with children, you’ll find a number of theme parks and other family entertainment possibilities to keep everyone entertained. Among the many good options are Circus Krone, Legoland, Playmobil FunPark and the Wild West Park. Bavaria Filmstudios in Geiselgasteig is a short drive south of the city, where both films and television programmes are produced.
The Hellabrunn Zoo: is home to all a range of animal species as well as some additional features that continue to attract and please visitors. There are trained elephants that perform; a monkey house that fascinates and even opportunities to ride on camels.
Munich’s Frauenkirche: for the best views of the city and the Alps, a visit to the Frauenkirche is in order. Once inside, you’ll note that the interior is designed in such a way that you do not notice the windows at first, as they’re hidden by the cathedral’s many pillars. While you’re there, you might also want to check out the ‘devil's footprint’ which, as the legend goes, was created when the devil stamped his foot at the architect’s folly.
Visit a Munich Beer Garden: you probably don’t need to be reminded to visit a local beer garden, but you really shouldn’t miss out on the great food, atmosphere and beer that Munich's beer gardens have to offer.
