By air: with no airport of its own, most tourists fly to Frankfurt airport, a large, fully-equipped airport two terminals. To get to Heidelberg from Frankfurt Airport, you can take the train that provides a direct connection from the airport to Heidelberg’s main train station.

Lufthansa provides buses at the Terminal 1 and will drop you off at the Crowne Plaza, near the city centre. Alternatively, you can also use the limousine services and shuttle bus transfers from the airport.

By bus: Eurolines provides a number of buses that run throughout Europe. Deutsche Touring operates bus services throughout Germany. (www.deutsche-touring.com)

By car: Heidelberg is well-served by the German autobahn. The A5 and A6 are the closet autobahns to Heidelberg. Simply take the exit onto the A656 which leads to the city centre.
